Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park
Your safari begins after breakfast in Kampala, where our guide will pick you up in a 4×4 Safari Jeep. We will drive west towards Lake Mburo National Park, making a stop at the Uganda equator for some fun photos. You’ll also have opportunities to take in the beautiful views along the Masaka-Mbarara road. As we approach Lake Mburo National Park, keep an eye out for wildlife that can be seen even before we enter the park. Once inside the park, we’ll go on an evening game drive, offering the first chance to see animals like zebras, buffaloes, and antelopes in their natural habitat. After the game drive, we will head to the lodge for dinner and a good night’s rest. Meals include half-board (dinner and breakfast).
Day 2
Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Ride
After breakfast at the lodge, we’ll head out for a morning game drive. This 3 to 4-hour drive gives you the chance to see more of the park’s wildlife, including the possibility of spotting lions or elephants. We’ll return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll enjoy a relaxing boat ride on Lake Mburo. The lake is home to a variety of birds, hippos, and other aquatic wildlife. This is a perfect opportunity to capture some amazing photos and enjoy the peaceful scenery. After the boat ride, we’ll return to the lodge for dinner and another overnight stay. Meals will be on a full-board basis (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
Day 3
Park Hike and Return to Kampala
On the final day, we’ll start with a hearty breakfast at the lodge. Afterward, a park guide will lead us on a hike through the forest, giving you a closer look at the park’s wildlife and plant life. This hike is not just about spotting animals, but also learning about the park’s ecosystem. After the hike, we’ll begin our journey back to Kampala. On the way, we’ll stop at the Buwama Crocodile Farm, where you can learn about these fascinating reptiles. Our safari ends in Kampala, either at your hotel, the airport, or another planned location. Meals for the day will be on a half-board basis (breakfast and lunch).
